I cant hack it when the beautiful people [all tigers supporters] bag their own players. I used to swap ends with Roachy when I was a tin lid and Richo brings out the same passionate excitement in me, he is one of our all time great players.

richo... i have total respect for ole matty, but i do believe his days as a senior footballer are numbered. he has been a great role model for the younger guys but i think it"s time to move over bud and let the youth have a go. richo has been a true tiger for many years through some of the toughest times for our club, and continues to try lift the boys. maybee he should take a role in our coaching staff we need someone with heart...
Scott (Tigers supporter), 1 Mar 2008 10:51 hide comment
richo is a champion the only thing that stopped him from being 1 of the best ever was his kicking at goals besides that i only wished he went to a decent oraganisation and won himself a flag cas aslong as terry no idea wallace is around richomond will be sitting on the bottom.. the spud evan got an emotional 4 spot for us one year atleast that was something wallace just loves turning good footballers like delido into scared hacks...,.

wow, Debbie the threadstarter, you have no idea. Yes we made a prelim in 95, was it because we didnt have Richo? No, it was because we had career best seasons out of Campbell, Daffy, Knighter, Rogers, Tapey, etc etc..Do you remember 1996? Richo came out and kicked 91 goals, in probably the best comeback from a knee reco ever. Its people like you, who only exist to bag guys that bleed yellow and black that give us tiger fans a bad name. Most of us love Richo through the good and the bad, I wouldnt trade him for any player in the league.
Daniel from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 14 Feb 2008 13:50 hide comment
This year you will see Richo in his best form to date. He has got alot to prove and wants a crack at that premiership before his day comes. His preparation in this pre season has been outstanding and he is running faster and leaping higher than before, Stay faithful and reap the rewards I say.

Bloody oath Daniel, i agree with you mate! I know there are alot of fustrated richo and richmond supporters out there, but all i can say is hang in there, we will become a force again.
Mark (Tigers supporter), 27 Feb 2008 21:16 hide comment
Look Deb, i know he can be a real fustrating player but he gives 100% every time, and you cant ask for more than that. And yes, there are going to times where Richo will just always be Richo! Thats why we love him!
John from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 11 Feb 2008 20:13 hide comment

John he barely played at all that year, Brad Ottens lead the tigers into the preliminary final and Richo came along in just enough time to lead them to defeat, i was at that game, just miserable.
Most richmond supporters in the stands were abusing him, he was that bad!
We should have kept Brad Ottens, our loss

that would be right... half breed richmond bogans abusing their own players...

You have got to be kidding me. There is NO better team player than richo. No one more passionate about playing to win and playing for a common goal. He is also one of, if not the hardest player to match up on in the AFL. Next time you're at a Richmond game, watch him!

Well done simon, finally someone with a brain that can see what so many people cant.

Richo is a champ, he is the hardest working centre half foward in the afl, and if the delivery to him was better I think he would be noticed alot more by all these gooses.

And your right about matching up on him, he is definately one of the hardest players to play on.

The only down side is his kicking, but that is why he should be centre half foward leading up the ground not full foward.

Wallace is a goose and the sooner voss takes over the quicker we will move up to that top spot.

In reference to "Richo, for all his faults, people should learn to see, not only the trees, but the whole forrest!
Michael from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 22 Feb 2008 8:40 hide comment
Wow. What is with all these threads about Richo?

Sure he can be frustrating but at the end of the day I'd rather have him in the side than not.
