As much as I don't want to admit this he has been our only top flight player in his career. Knights, Campbell, Gale, Daffy, Bowden, Ottens all very good players but they would not make it in Mike Sheen's best 50 players since Richo started so i think thats why we have not had the success as we have not got the match winners other clubs have had.

i think debbie forgets about when the tigers played in the finals under danny frawley Richo played that year we finished 3rd , lay off the big fella how many games have you played?
Daniel from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 28 Mar 2008 8:04 hide comment
I wish we could just delete this thread, any Tigers supporters that want to question can Richo play? Just are plain stupid, attention seeking posters.

Debbie you state "the guy is an individual", well yes every person is an individual, "not a team player", do you even watch any games?

Debbie you are intitled to say and have your own opinion but this thread is just rubbish.

And to say "he cant play football"?

Do you really call yourself a Tigers supporter?

Your thread does not warrant any more responses!

Debbie Debbie Debbie, the boy can play, obvoisly u never have! How is he an individual? as 1 of the only decsent forwards in recent times at tigerland he always gets double n triple teamed yet still would ave the most marks n contested marks in the last 10 years! without him the ball would rebound that fast back down the other end. Richo has more passion 4 the tigers than most supporters do. I think the result of round 1 has just shut u up, goodnight. As for michael from bunbury, how can u say he is to old when he still runs the fastest 400 at the club n runs more than most midfielders in games? please explain u fool or have u eaten yr words after carlton? get real

Debbie, Richo may be frustrating at times and seem disappointing on bad days but thats only if they are the ones that stick in your head. i would say last year he had a bit of a bad season, the team didnt perform and his confidence was down for much of the year, and of course his couple of crap performances stuck in my head out of the 6 or 7 games i went to, but at the end of the year he still almost managed a top 5 finish for the Coleman with 53 goals. But its too easy too forget that if you only remember the days that he didnt kick 'em.

Read the bottom post of this thread.

In the game against Carlton he was inspirational, no-one should question his hands they are a pair of the best in the competition, his conversion rate isn't 100% but he is worth his weight in gold.

As I stated on the first post Richo will have a ripper crack this year, this will be his best if not close to, he is loyal through and through and any Tigers supporters that want to question him should have thier heads checked.

No forward in history has ever had a 100% conversition rate and while Richo may be far off the mark he embodies the Tigers spirit through and through.

Rich in my eye's you are a champ, a great addition to the club and I am and always will be glad you are and were there.

You make us laugh, you make us cry but your a Tigers man till the day you die.

Now get out there kick a couple of bags of 10 and break that 100.

richo is loyal to the tigers so we should be to him. He may have some shockers but he had some glue on his fingers thursday night boy did he take some grabs and for a forward at his weight and height to run 17kms in a game its fookin good. this might be the season he dobs 100 goals all us tigers just hope so

debbie douche-bag... probably one of those broads from the collingwood cheersquad who bash their fists into the fence (like apes) whenever rocca flukes a goal

Richo is the most entertaining footballer going around...win lose or draw he supplies hours of entertainment...even though a Judd gets 30+ possessions he doesn't entertain the way Richo does and on his day no-one can man up on him, when the planets align every 3 years or so he is unstoppable....hope he hurries up and has a kid...3rd generation of Richo's woooooooo
Sarah (Tigers supporter), 17 Mar 2008 19:08 hide comment
richo is the heart of Richmond he is one of a few players who love playing for there team maybe if we had someone else to kick goals his stuff ups wouldn't show as much he brings out everything in a supporter his passion for the tigers shows when he has had offers from other teams more money and things but look where his heart lays thats what every team needs and the club should give him a chance as captain Richmond runs thou his blood

Matthew Richardson is a Legend.

I think saying he can't paly football is a bit harsh. I belive he is a confidence player though. How he plays in each game tends to ride on the first 5-10mins. If he can take a good mark and kick a goal early in the match he seems to go well, but on the flip side if he dosn't have n impact early he stuffed for the rest of th game. What do you guys think?
Adam from Corowa (Tigers supporter), 10 Mar 2008 12:35 hide comment
If every player had the passion of Matty then we would be premiers. The only thing letting him down is kicking, thats why he should be put into Centre half back where he can take the marks and run up if need be.
