Richo????
Personally he maybe a very nice guy but can he play football...........nooooooooooooooooooo he can't. Last time that had a bit of success is when he done his knee and they got to the preliminary final, now doesn't that say something. The guy is an individual not a team player.

I am not as most of you people say, i love my tigers nad I hate when the supporters bag them but Richo is frustrating and disappointing at times but yes he does play very well in a majority of occassions. MAybe they should play him up the ground further so we don't have to face the frustration of him kicking for goal. I agree he does put in 100%, I was not bagging him just explaining my frustration with him.

I forget, how many goals has he kicked?
Shannon from Canberra (Tigers supporter), 14 Apr 2008 20:21 hide comment
Supporter's, support they don't go bagging out team player's. Matthew Richardson has for many years now, become supporter's "scapegoat". The psychological bagging he cops surely would be enough for him to have a few bad games.
But any way 750 goals later....we still have couch spuds coaching for the team and stating a superb athlete can't play footy....go Debbie ....kick one for Richo!

I am loving Richo on the wing, the game has changed. Being a full forward was killing him. Long live Richo !!!

Hey Debbie, how many games have u played ??? Sit down, shut up & enjoy his career, there are not many players who spend their career playing so well in a lowly team & it is not his fault, so lay off or f**k off as he tries hisa guts out every week!!! Keep it up Richo !!!

lol, thats probably one of the all time stupidist comments ive ever heard, if u seen any of the game against freo u wldnt hav said that. He kicked four playing on the wing... Also Richo played in the semi against carlton in 2001... My god and ur a Richmond supporter, pfff...

I am sick of hearing people, especially those who call themselves richmond supporters, bagging out Richo!! He pours his heart and soul into this club and for someone to have kicked 750 goals, but still have people telling him that he is useless stumps me. This man deserves a hell of a lot more respect than he is given and it will be a sad day for this club when he hangs up the boots.

couldn't say it better myself! richo has more heart than every other player in this competition. he has on more than one occasion carried this team and we should all be so thankful that he's ours. i can't believe richmond supporters can be so against him when he's done so much for the team! you so called "supporters" should all be ashamed *glares*

As much as I don't want to admit this he has been our only top flight player in his career. Knights, Campbell, Gale, Daffy, Bowden, Ottens all very good players but they would not make it in Mike Sheen's best 50 players since Richo started so i think thats why we have not had the success as we have not got the match winners other clubs have had.

i think debbie forgets about when the tigers played in the finals under danny frawley Richo played that year we finished 3rd , lay off the big fella how many games have you played?
Daniel from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 28 Mar 2008 8:04 hide comment
I wish we could just delete this thread, any Tigers supporters that want to question can Richo play? Just are plain stupid, attention seeking posters.

Debbie you state "the guy is an individual", well yes every person is an individual, "not a team player", do you even watch any games?

Debbie you are intitled to say and have your own opinion but this thread is just rubbish.

And to say "he cant play football"?

Do you really call yourself a Tigers supporter?

Your thread does not warrant any more responses!

Debbie Debbie Debbie, the boy can play, obvoisly u never have! How is he an individual? as 1 of the only decsent forwards in recent times at tigerland he always gets double n triple teamed yet still would ave the most marks n contested marks in the last 10 years! without him the ball would rebound that fast back down the other end. Richo has more passion 4 the tigers than most supporters do. I think the result of round 1 has just shut u up, goodnight. As for michael from bunbury, how can u say he is to old when he still runs the fastest 400 at the club n runs more than most midfielders in games? please explain u fool or have u eaten yr words after carlton? get real

Debbie, Richo may be frustrating at times and seem disappointing on bad days but thats only if they are the ones that stick in your head. i would say last year he had a bit of a bad season, the team didnt perform and his confidence was down for much of the year, and of course his couple of crap performances stuck in my head out of the 6 or 7 games i went to, but at the end of the year he still almost managed a top 5 finish for the Coleman with 53 goals. But its too easy too forget that if you only remember the days that he didnt kick 'em.

Read the bottom post of this thread.

In the game against Carlton he was inspirational, no-one should question his hands they are a pair of the best in the competition, his conversion rate isn't 100% but he is worth his weight in gold.

As I stated on the first post Richo will have a ripper crack this year, this will be his best if not close to, he is loyal through and through and any Tigers supporters that want to question him should have thier heads checked.

No forward in history has ever had a 100% conversition rate and while Richo may be far off the mark he embodies the Tigers spirit through and through.

Rich in my eye's you are a champ, a great addition to the club and I am and always will be glad you are and were there.

You make us laugh, you make us cry but your a Tigers man till the day you die.

Now get out there kick a couple of bags of 10 and break that 100.

Jamie from Perth (Tigers supporter), 25 Mar 2008 16:53 hide comment
richo is loyal to the tigers so we should be to him. He may have some shockers but he had some glue on his fingers thursday night boy did he take some grabs and for a forward at his weight and height to run 17kms in a game its fookin good. this might be the season he dobs 100 goals all us tigers just hope so
