Richo IS the best player Richmond has had in the last decade. Not only does he always give 100%, but is the heart and soul of tigerland.
I tell people that he is both our best and worst kick for goal (lol!) but people always remember the misses - not the great goals and marks he takes.
He is a true icon at the Richmond football club - it wouldnt be Richmond without him! Can't think of any other tigers player in the last 20 years that is more deserving of the "Immortal" status he will no doubt recieve when he retires.
Holding us back? lol how can u say ur a richmond supporter?

I wish we could delete this thread, honestly it doesn't deserve any reesponse.

Richo is a champ.

I have thought this in the past too, but so far this year, he has been playing well. He is looking fit and fast. Maybe this year will be his year!

Richo will go down as one of the greatest players to never win a premiership. The guy has given his heart and soul to the richmond footy club and is a true legend. If richo had of kicked straight he would have finished with numerous coleman medals and maybe even a brownlow.
Sandy from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 8 Apr 2008 11:30hide comment
Richo could have gone anywhere on million dollar + contracts but he has stuck with the Tigers. That sort of loyalty deserves loyalty back. The delivery to him isn't the best which must frustrate the guy no end. He misses shots he really should get as a key forward, but he gives 100% and you can't ask for more than that. He also brings others into the play time and time again. Go Richo, I love you and what you stand for! You are the heart and sould of Richmond.

how longs he been playin now anyways? been around as long as i can remember, and is never been in the papers/news for bull**** like west coast and other clubs, he one of the last of the old school, it'll be a sad day when he retires, GO RICHO!!!!

I think it is attitudes like this that is holding Richmond back. Richo is a star.

Richo is the heart and soul of the Richmond Football Club!!!
Sure, he can have his bad games and he sometimes misses easy goals, but he also has a lot of good games and kicks hard goals when we need him to.
Holding us back?!?
What on earth is wrong with you?!?
Troy (Tigers supporter), 4 Apr 2008 21:08hide comment
Richo is Richmond!!! you dont see any of the other fairies in other teams playing with a fractured eye socket , concussion and still kick 4 goals 2 lol
Paul (Tigers supporter), 3 Apr 2008 23:06hide comment
Holding Richmond back????

Do you actually watch Richmond?? The guy is the total focus of the forward line and sets up the rest.

Coming from Mulgrave why don't you go and support Hawthorn and leave Richo to the true tigers fans!!!!!!!!

Melissa from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 3 Apr 2008 21:39hide comment
how could any true tiger supporter say that richo is holding richmond back obviously don"t appreciate the 110% effort he puts in week in week out. he has started on fire this season.

Tivendale, Pettifer and Richo are all champs, as for Tamblin he is still young and seems to be taking his time tro develope. He has skills but seems to let himself down with poor disposals and when he lingers around the outside of the packs. I would like to see him use that dash and speed the guys got, head down and going for the ball in the packs instead of waiting for it to be fed to him.

Tivendale, Pettifer and sometimes Tambling are the one's holding us back. We consistantly play with 15 players on the field each week. Too many softies.. It will be interesting to see if we have recruited any more softies.

Shaza Shaza Shaza you should be watching your 13 children instead of playing around on Face book.

He has been pretty solid for a good ten years now, we would all love if he had learned to kick straight from a set shot about ten years back but we can forgive him cos its a little late now, and there's been all those occasions where i wish he wouldnt have ripped a teammates head off for not delivering it well, but in the last couple of years most of that immature stuff has stopped and he pumps up the boys real well these days, runs hard all day and usually still kicks 4 or 5 on a good day (along with his 6 behinds lol.) The only negative these days is Richmond not having a proper replacement for when he retires, thats why it would APPEAR that he holds us back Sandy, because the only other option we have as our key foward is Deledio and he is just finally developing to that top level where he can take the mantle along with the other fowards, but up until that point we have recently been relying on a 33 year old weary veteran still giving his all to carry a depleted foward line. Now leave the old bloke alone and let him hopefully enjoy a little more success in his twilight years... hahaha
