Couldn't believe it when I read that comment - Richo best on ground last two weeks??
John from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 20 Apr 2008 23:06 hide comment
Richo has one of the biggest hearts in the game and does all of the hard things around the ground to get and win the ball. His disposal when he gets the ball is disgraceful and quite enbarressing and a couple of years ago i would have agreed with you but richmond stuck with him and he has become a very good leader for the younger guy's coming through.

Courtney from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 17 Apr 2008 12:29 hide comment
Sandy - sweetheart it is people like you that are holding us back... your the type of person that sits a game and abuses the living day lights out of the players... if you dont like them take your negitivity elsewhere we dont want or need it at Richmond. One thing I have been proud of as a Richmond supporter is the optomisim we show as a club, we may be bottom of the ladder but we will still have 30,000+ rock up to see us play freo on a rainy sunday arvo at the g. Richo is the spiritual leader of Richmond, he may yell and carry on but that is just showing the passion that he has. Also Richo was responsible for the win on sunday against freo. He led the team as only Richo can.
Rachel (Tigers supporter), 16 Apr 2008 15:52 hide comment
Sandy - you are a disgraceful Tigers supporter and should be ashamed of yourself.
Read these stats and weep!
Get your act together and start praising the legend that Richo is!

Richo is a great part of the Tigers, any other player of his calibre would have left to play for a more successful side. There are not many players as faithful to there teams as he is. On his day he is a friggen dream to watch, my kids love him....
Matt (Tigers supporter), 14 Apr 2008 17:28 hide comment
One thing in richos favour this year seams to be that he's not bagging his own players as much. richo having a bad day often leads to other players dropping there heads.. not sure whether hes been spoken to about it but it looks like hes improved in that department.
Stephen from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 14 Apr 2008 17:21 hide comment
i feel sorry for richo, he deserves to be playin for a better team then richmond. i dont know how he copes with us richmond supporters constantly bagging the crap out of him, when all he does is give his all. cant say the same about a dozen or so players. without him we would be nothing, we do have to look to the future cause he has only got 2 yrs left in him i reckon, but right now everyone should lay off him. he is a genuine superstar of the AFL. for a guy to play like he did against freo at his age on the wing, is a true reflection on how good he is!
Marlee (Tigers supporter), 14 Apr 2008 13:33 hide comment
Sandy, it gets me so angry when people like you obviously only see Richo as our leading goalkicker, and nothing else. He has great and very bad days in terms of goalkicking, which everybody knows about. Richos heart and soul is at richmond, and that is clear when you see how much effort he puts in, every game he does not stop running. He gives it his all and is constantly running & up every end of the field, as seen yesterday when he played in the wing. Richo is not only a goalkicker, and he works the entire game, even at his age. Richo is what Richmond is. You are obviously not a true richmond supporter if you cant look hard enough to see Richo for what he is and not only a goalkicker.

I must say I've Richo has always been my number one favourite from when I started barricking for the Tigers. Even if he has a bad game now and then, he's always 110 percent trying for the team. He is a magic marker and I think he just gets complacent at times when kicking goals as he has kicked so MANY. Why can't they put Troy Simmonds, or another big man up forward with him? I agree he is pretty much the last old school footballer around, Wish he could play forever.
Matt (Tigers supporter), 13 Apr 2008 19:59 hide comment
not a massive fan of richo but its hard to argue with his selection after his performance tonight agaisnt freo.. playing him as a winger was a genius move by terry wallace!

I agree - richo is much better utilised up the ground as shown today. Go Tigers!
