Ben cousins at tigerland?
What are peoples thoughts on this subject? I personally wouldnt mind him in the yellow and black but only if he was stil available at a really late stage in the draft and we already got what we needed! He would go a long way to getting the tigers in the finals in 2009, 2010!

Our kids could benifit from cousins i think he still has a good 3-4 years left in him,And on this years improvement from our kids if Wallace thinks were only another year or so from finals i think it will be a huge edge for us,he still has a lot to offer ben,why not.Only problem i ask is do we have the facillitys and the money to attract him,i can see him at collingwood.

There are no short cuts in our youth policy and time has proved that taking older players at Tigerland hasn't worked for us.Ben was a great player but has had a year off and has too much baggage around him to come to our club.

I now agree with brenton that we probably dont need cousins so i agree with u on the youth policy, but i wouldnt compare him to the older players we have taken in the past.. Clearly cousins is a great player, where as kingsley, knobel and mark graham were just battlers and paul hudson didnt even get a fair crack..

Ben Cousins in his absolute prime from years ago wouldnt be enough to get us in finals in the next 2 years, sorry, but we are still a long way away

No Way!! he is 30 ,been out of the game for nearly 2 years .Kids dont need him around . Im all for second chances but i think a club that is almost there like hawthorn or north melbourne . Our kids need to play together and depend on each other for a few years.Build a team. Cousins wont be around in 2011 and if he is he will almost be done.
And i doubt he will go late in the draft. We dont need him at the club. It will be a few years till we play in the big one but we are on the right track with playing THE KIDS !!!!

Couldn't agree more James. I wonder how big Eddie's cheque book is, he'd fit in well at Collingwood...he and Didak could go hang out with a few gangsters together.

Cousins i think would be great for a couple of years as a leader on field (not officialy but to stand up when needed). I believe we dont have that in the midfield.
As for fevola, great player but is all for himself and when the team is down he is a joke
Craig (Tigers supporter), 26 Jun 2008 20:25hide comment
not sure on this one but what about big fevola thats who we need.
