Lol... I don't know what all you guys are on about.
Shultz is a keeper. His skill let's him down sometimes but have you noticed when Richo's not playing his best he steps up and kicks the lazy 3? Or when our backline is struggling he goes back there and creates a contest or takes a contested mark or two?
Give him a little time and his skills will improve and he'll prove a valuable utility player.
Why would you get rid of Raines? Richmond's been failing as of the last couple of years because of the lack of run off the back-line. With King in the side we're getting a bit of it and when we get Raines back the speed and quality of our offensive football will improve vastly.
Look at how well Hyde has been tagging key opposition mid fielders as of late and sneaking 2 or 3 goals a game. He's a very handy player to have. He's becoming quite the Cameron Ling.
Cleve Hughs has had what 6 or 7 games? Why would you think of trading him when he's yet to still have a real crack? We need someone to replace Richo. He's not going to play till he's 40. He might even retire after this year and do it with honour rather than do what gherig and rocca are going through right now.
Although I have a soft spot for him because he adds a spark when he's in form, Pettifer needs to go, he's past it. You're right about him.
Oakley Nichols in the past few games has really started to show some flare and I think maybe he might just become a better player than Tambling in a shorter amount of time. Give him a go, he's only had a handful of games.
Daniel Kerr is not worth our money because he was only ever really a superstar when Cousins and Judd held down the two main tagging players and Kerr was able to roam free. I think our mid-field is coping quite well with a few kids coming through like Cotchin, and White, and I even think JAcky Reiwoldt might even slot up in the midfield in the future.
Our backline is going nicely considering the lack of experience but it still needs a bit more injecting for when Bowden and Newman are gone.
Also our Forward line, Mitch Morton's is proving quite the find with 5 goals against Port and sneaking in a few each week.
We've got Angus Graham who's shown some promise at VFL level and then played a couple of decent games in the AFL but injured himself. So we've got another ruckman coming through.
Overall the most important things we need from this years draft and trade week are a couple of good hard at the ball half-back flankers that could have a run in the midfield if need be. A ruckman if Angus Graham get's riddled with injuries which often happens and one or two more Key position backmen to help out Thursfield McGuane and Moore.
