Richmond Vs Freo
How many of us Tigers think we will do the Dockers at subiaco on the w/e??
If we do will our supporters have more respect for the side?

F***ing awesome to get to sing the song at Subi after 7 years of losses!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the best games I have seen the Tigers play in years, especially in 30 degree heat!

C'mon Tiges! Keep it up.

ps. For any of our supporters who keep bagging Richo - get over it and have a good hard look at yourself as a so-called supporter.
He is the heart and soul of Richmond and a bloddy legend!

Too many names to mention in this upset, Tigers responded brilliantly to last weeks no show.

Although I would like to say King is having a tough time for someone so commited, the guy continues to put in 100% but just unlucky, anyone see him handball a ball at the end of the match to a Tiger's supporter over the fence? Missed the target by 4 seats, lol.

The guys ran this match out till the end.

Perhaps even earlier when we were up by 5 goals we should have been up by 9.

I'm not knocking the guys as like anyone I have been waiting to see some big improvements and honestly expect them this year.

Mike Sheehans write up in the Herald/Sun on Friday was pretty spot on. Richmond have been cut alot of slack upto now and need to show that the football department on Punt road know what it is all about.

Could you imagine if Pavlich and/or Franklin were in this line up?

mathew richardson imo needs to stay in the goal square and contest marks inside the goal square and allow schulz, hughes, pettifer, brown and possibly polak to be the lead up types. not many are going to beat richardson 1 on 1 in the square as most defenders panic when it gets to the most dangerous part of the ground.
have deledio, foley, johnson in the middle and have raines (when back) on a wing because he is useless as a defender with tambling on the other wing. see new discussion post for my pick for our best side

Dave don't mean to have a go at you but did you see the first two rounds we had richo playing up the ground? he excelled, had brilliant games, he needs to play half forward he should not be confined to the goal square cos thats where he recieves **** deliveries and gets frustrated. the guy is an attacker and should be further up the ground to take the awesome grabs that stick to be able to deliver the ball forward to the likes of dell or pettifer.

just kick the flaming ball forward. Thats what crumbers are for. Stop piss farting around - get confident and go up the guts.

2 or 3 handballs?? i was counting up to 8 consecutive handballs before someone would kick the bloody ball against the Pies!, I watched the pressure they consistently applied, and as usual, watched the Richmond confidence spiral into the simple loss of self-belief that they can beat their man one-on-one. And unfortunately it starts with 3 or 4, but they spread it to the rest of the team. It's not about if they get up just this week, but if they get up against Freo, and stay within 2 or 3 goals of the Bulldogs and Hawks... then ill believe that something has finally changed and they will win that respect back. Let's go Tiges!!
Lukey from Melbourne (Tigers supporter), 11 Apr 2008 10:17 hide comment
personally we have no hope winning this wk!! to young and not enough pace to stand up to freo on there home turf!! mind you we have had alot of close battles over there!! but still different year and a different team!!
David from Coldstream (Tigers supporter), 8 Apr 2008 9:45 hide comment
richmond have to win this weekend to get anything resembling credibility. stop this handball2 or 3 times then get an underpressure kick away. honor the 1st lead quickly to give our forwards the opportunity to make a reasonable contest. i would hate to be a richmond forward after the first three leads were ignored only for the fourth to be put short or over the top of the leading players head, ready made for the extra 5 players who have flooded back to help out the defence.
Jamie from Perth (Tigers supporter), 7 Apr 2008 21:22 hide comment
We better have more respect for the tigers if we win this w/e. because freo have got more strength than most of the other sides this season.
