Is this bloke a protected species or what? I can't believe the comments by Laidley that as long as he is coach Grant will never be dropped to the seconds. If his form warrants it he should be dropped just like everybody else, what sort of message does this give to the other players on the team.

I think Laids just meant he'd be rested, rather than have him play in the vfl. Grant's form hasn't been great, his kicking has been woeful. He must have a hamstring problem if he can't kick it 40m.

I'm with you - as a huge Grant supporter and #6 on my jumper i've been getting a lot of crap from my friends about his "lack of form" but he's a champion so i reckon a rest is all he needed and there is probably some minor injury that we're not aware of - or at least that is what i want to believe You can't turn your back on your champions
