good call Ben same could be said for a fair few of the other players. As for all these guys calling him a "match winner" ... we aren't winning!

u cant compare him to travis johnson melb made the right decision trading him, he was a top draft pik that had about 3 good seasons and wasnt even able to stand up and play well when the team was down **** house leader and **** house player...

as far as possesions go Cam gets plenty just check out any of the fantasy football or supercoach stats abd see how well Cam scores right up there among the best ,a great footballer and one hell of a nice bloke ,you couldnt ask for a better role model for the club

Ben you can't watch the dees very often to come up with that silly comment. Cam Bruce is one of the elite players of the comp. Every club in the comp would love to have mim on their list. I suggest that you actually watch a couple of games before you comment next time !

Only a goose would call cam bruce overrated player at melbourne. As for Johnstone he was too lazy to warrant being kept at the dees.

Cam Bruce is a very talented player. Problem for him lately has been the way Daniher played him. He's not a tagger and needs to be unleashed running forward from the guts, not as a short defender getting sucked into the goal square. Trapper had alot of promise but just isn't suited to our list. Definately has better skills than Bruce, but Trapper has better skills than 95% of players running around, his problem is he's only got the heart to beat 10% of them.

Cam is not as overrated as Travis johnstone was......Travis was such a lazy gimme player although he did stand out on occasions and had the makings of a brilliant player i just go so sick and tired of him wasting his potential

A lot of negativity gentlemen. Get on to the Red and Blue Army this year. There will be disappointment, and a lot to look forward to in 2008. And you never never know... Just remember that there are A LOT of blokes coming in. Think Matty Whelan, Jared Rivers, Dunny, and of course the Big Fella #9 - a fair dinkum Melbournefc legend player and bloke. Whatever you think of Cam Bruce I can say I've been in the box twice, and when he is moved forward Goals occur - flat out. He wins games. Love Trav's skills but discipline is a timeline. Go Demons!

I don't know if Johnstone was the WORST player on our list, but he certainly was the one who thought he had all the time in the world when he had the ball (despite the number of times he got dragged to the ground and gave away a holding the ball free).

The real test for Johnstone will be whether he can produce when he's surrounded by the class that still remains in the Brisbane midfield. Inconsistency will see him back in the QAFL. I for one hope he does well this season, after all, we're still paying half his wages under our salary cap until his contract runs out.

cameron bruce is a matchwinner... end of story!!! so he isnt the last one to get up from the bottom of a pack... but then again how many times do you see judd get up from the bottom of the pack???? some players are trained and schooled as fringe pack players so their ball handling skills can be utilised, thats what these blokes do Ben, ever played the game???

This is nonsense - he is a very good player, not great but extremely valuable to us. He knows how to get the footy and use it. I'm looking forward to seeing him have a great year as I don't think he has recovered his best form since being crunched by Guerra a couple of years ago.
