A much more promising performance today..
Up against the benchmark team, I think we can finally hold our heads high. We were overall the better team in the 1st quarter and when Geelong started to get a run on, the heads didn't drop. We kept coming at them.

We let ourselves down with fundamental skill errors, particularly in the goal square, but some promising signs of things to come.

Also good to see Davey showing some leadership at last.

Let's see if we can bring it home next week.

It is awesome to hear such positive comments this week! I was very impressed with how we held ourselves this week, after all we could've let the last two games bring us down! We can only get better and that seems to be what we are doing! Come on Dee's you can do it!!

It is good to see the plan coming together
As we all saw today we can play good footy.
To give the cats a scare means we can only get better, the kangas could be our first win. so keep up the hard work boys go the dees

Was quite happy with todays effort, especially when pundits were tipping another 100+ point loss today. Certainly gave the Catters a run for their money.
Bring on the Kangas next week - CARN DEES!!!

Again it would have been nice to clean up at the TAB today however it was good to finally cheer for good parts of football. Congrats to Morton on his first goal in AFL. Definately some good signs lets hope they continue for a win next week against North

Yeah I agree, aside from some small issues with panicking when Geelong got a small run on, and lack of a really dominant forward line, we had a great day. The young players like Morton, Jones, Wonaeamirri all stood up and showed how good they are going to be for the club, as well as the return of Rivers, and McLean in the first half. Melbourne showed today that if we can further develop the game style we played today and increase the skills of the young up and coming stars and the older players lead like they did today that we can be a match for any team in the competition. I say bring on North Melbourne next week, could easily be our first win for the season.
