Scott (Cats supporter), 16 Jun 2008 21:28 hide comment
At the G on September 29th when the final siren went my first thought was 08.

Cause we are good enough to do it all again.

The competition is close at the moment, but just watch the other teams fall away and the consistancy of the Cats will win out.

if they keep there attitude right & they are coming into some good form &if they play 4 quarters as a team they will be very hard to beat in september

There are more contenders this time round the hawks, dogs, pies, swans and the lions all up there lets wait till round 17 before making embrassing comments like I did before the collingwood game dam pies.

Ya, The cats can sure win the premiership, and like last year we'll thrash them. I just support the cats because there was a family history from Geelong, we don't go to any games, but if any on tv, we'll watch them. My dad was from Geelong and my grandparents parents so bit of a family history from geelong. But i still love the cats!!!

i would like to say yes i really would but the fact of the matter is collingwood pose a huge threat they have all the young guns and if they set their mind to the tasks i think hawthorn and collingwood will take each other on in the grand final

I think we're in the best form and position to back to back; I don't know about back to back to back (to back!), Brisbane style, as young teams like Hawthorn and St Kilda are posing a good threat, but the team is strong and we look to finish strongly this year. Geelong would do well not to count their chickens, though, as they have been wont to do.

St Kilda are not reali turning out to be a threat anymore unless they can get their forward line to work well. The only threat i see to our back to back is hawthorn.
Justin from Mansfield (Cats supporter), 20 May 2008 22:14 hide comment
I couldn't agree more with you Lauren. Also like a few of the other posts have said we need to get off to a better start, we cant let a side like Hawthorn get a 3 or 4 goal advantage early on. Having said that we don't want to peak to early in the season and at the moment we are still winning. Were in with a big show. Caannn the Catters!!
Samantha from Melbourne (Cats supporter), 23 May 2008 11:14 hide comment
Our best chance of going back to back is if we manage what injuries we have well and dont get ahead of ourselves, our problem in the past is we have counted our chickens before they have hatched. And if we are going to beat Hawthorn in round 17 we have to pick up our first quarter starts because at the moment we are onli winning by playing two or three quality quarters and we also need to start out strong because all this year we have been starting realy slugishly but coming back we cannot allow ourselves to play that way against hawthorn or they will over run us.
Patrick from Hobart (Cats supporter), 20 May 2008 17:01 hide comment
There is only one player in the league who will stop our mighty cats....Lance Franklin the big boof headed idiot... i hope he breaks his leg...twice!!! and all you wankers who will oppose this.... dont bother cause i dont care for your hippy tree hugging love everybody attitude.... Big cam needs to take a run down the fiels in round 17, unleash hell and punch 7 shades of **** out of frankin.....take one for the team cam.
Yolanda from Adelaide (Cats supporter), 19 May 2008 20:23 hide comment
oh yeah we can but we need to get past this slow beginning ****!! we have been way to patchy we need to get back to basics & start to play convincingly as last year!! carn the catters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peter from Geelong (Cats supporter), 14 May 2008 16:12 hide comment
I think we can, but we have to also get passed Hawthorn this year. Last year we had no one that could stop us, round 17 this year will be what I think a pre Grand Final match up with Hawthorn. GO CATS!

its funny that so many people leave the melbourne team of the late fiftys and early 60s out of this 7 or 8 premierships in 10 years and i think they made the grand final in all of those years, lance franklin is a problem lets hope scarlo can take him or else we are in a bit of trouble with out egan. CARN THE CATTERS!
Dominic from Blackheath (Cats supporter), 13 May 2008 20:22 hide comment
yeah i think that geelong have got a fair chance but the just need to go back to the basics instead of trying to do tricky stuff all the time. if they do that against hawthorn geelong are toast
