Oh and by the way.....
You would expect your full forward to be the leading goal kicker wouldn't you???
Mark (Cats supporter), 16 Jan 2008 14:38hide comment
Kingsley was a useless bag of ****.
I agree that he wasn't meant to be a leading forward but his inconsistency was unbearable.
Oh how the Moondog has stepped up!
Kingsley only consistent thing was that he would kick more behinds than goals.
Not a bad set of hands.
Who's gunna stop us this year???
Premiers 08 !!!!!!

kent cops so much ****....the fact of the matter is he was never meant to be a number one leading foward and have to deal with the best backman every week...he did and although frustrating at times he managed to lead our goal kicking on multiple occasions.
kent was a kicking horse
i'd like to know what all the other fellas were doing on backman number 2,3,4 they should have been the ones helping take pressure off kent.
that is all
but saying all that i like our foward line how it is now. ha
nathan is going to be a bigger loss than people relise

you don't know what your talking about! Gary Ablett snr kicked 3 tons in a row and when he only kicked 80 goals in a season Gary Ayres was quick to say he wasn't good enough for AFL level and made him retire! Kent Kingsley could only manage 40 goals a season and couldn't kick or mark, how did he last so long there? Have a look at the states mate! He was by far the most frustrating forward I have ever watched!

I agree, Kingsley proved his worth when he was given to Richmond, only played 3 games in 07 and kicked a huge 2 goals. Mooney, Johnson, Stokes and Chapman (among others) had a great year in front of the sticks.

Kingsley's inconsistency was a major pain. We've more than compensated for his departure with the likes of Gary Jr, Steve Johnson and Nathan Ablett stepping up in 2007.

Unfortunately Nathan has left and now it's time for Tomahawk to shine.

It's funny how we were trying to off-load a full forward in 07 and this year we're hoping to get a full-forward back to play (Ablett).
