Why should the reigning premiers have to travel interstate for round 1?
What a joke!!!!!
If it was any other team(Ess ,Coll,West Coast etc), they would of had a home game!!!!
Its just a bad for St Kilda last week, Why should the golden team (Adelaide) get a home Grand Final, couldn't they of scheduled the game on a mutual ground...the AFL commission have got bloody rocks in their head!!!!!

IT'S JUST GAY the premiers deserve to be treated like premiers so we should have played somewhere in melbourne. sorry for non cats supporters but the cats are gonna win another 2 before you guys have a chance

Dry your eyes princess. Its good to get one road trip out of the way first week up. WCER travelled to Sydney round 1 last year

Im just hoping for a win straight up.... and if you gotta play interstate... well, round 1 is the best time especially with a long recovery time the following week (we do play on Thursday after all)....

I'm not expecting Port to be pushovers a second game in a row though.... that reeks too much of Port Adelaide style arrogance... although a solid win first up is something I'll be really happy with if they keep their heads...

As much as i'd love to see them belt port again at AAMI I wouldn't be too suprised if they didn't and just eased into the season making sure they peak at the right time like Sydney in 05.

I agree with Wayne... drive the nail in early away from home and send shudders through the whole competition... I'm marking this one down as a win already... there is no way Port can bounce back from the thrashing we gave them in the GF last year... I just hope Williams comes out with a few cocky comments like he did before the GF in 07... 'cos didn't that work well for them!

Yes and the Judd game gets televised rather than the GF re match. Seems very biased to me. Who gives a **** about Judd anyway?

I guess we are lucky that those WANKERS Adelaide have been beaten in a Night GF twice in the last 3 seasons as a first point. The round one sellout at Kardinia Park is a romantic idea. I guess they should have thought of that. However beating those WANKERS Port on their home turf in front of a lack-lustre crowd in 40 degree temps will be sweet too.

I totally agree. Give us a home game, unfulrl the flag and give us a Fremantle or a Brisbane to smash in front of a sold out Skilled Stadium.

However, Harley makes a good point saying it'll be a good challenge first up. Go interstate to the number 2 teams home turf and hit the ground running.
It'll get the Cats heads in check from the get go.
