Best Dockers side for '08
G'day

since my VIC mates hate me talking bout the Dockers, thought I'd reach out and make some friends who are Docker's supporters on fb...

What are everyone's thoughts on the best starting Dockers team for '08

I'd say:

F: Hayden,McPharlin, Dodd
HB: Grover, Michael Johnson, Mundy
C: Peake, J Carr, Black
HF: Crowley, Pavlich, Headland
F: Farmer, Tarrant, Solomon

Ruck: Sandilands
Rovers: Bell

Interchange from: M Carr, Warnock, Mark Johnson, Palmer, Gilmore, Drum, Schammer

A strong spine but still lacking a bit of speed in the midfield (although Palmer looked the goods in the preseason games), and some big backmen to man up on the gorilla forwards (eg. Hall, Gehrig, etc)...

Cheers

whatever they did in the derby today, it was working for them, they need more of a kicking game and they came together as a team!
i think the teams beginning to find its feet (hopefully!)

Murphy for Taz
Palmer's a gun ... play him more often
Chris Mayne is also a gun, very promising start
Des must be pretty close to being best player for us so far this season with Superpav a very close second

dodd got to go gives away to many stupid free kicks. palmer has to go in the starting line up.tarrant has got to give a bit more up forward and learn how to kick straight.

id say this is this best team we have had on the park so far, this should be a good year, kepler will get injured straight away start of season, tarrant will actually be able to kick straight this year... come on

i reckon they should chuck in a couple of younguns around the midfield...if they're really quick through there they'll chop em most teams up

It's funny, when Freo came into the comp they were one of the quickest teams but now they are rated way down there...are they the slowest now?? thats the problem

Need some real no bollox footy from Freo this year, lose the hype and chip and go and actually DO what we all know they can!!

Pav would probably be the best brownlow bet from the Dockers...from the whole comp?...I'd say...dean cox as a roughie...even though he's a weagle, clearly the best ruckman in the comp and actually met the guy and he's a top bloke too...

Pretty close I reckon, I would only switch Tazza and Pav. I think Taz will play further up the ground this year. Des looks set for a big year after hi derby performance. Roughie for the brownlow?

i dont think much is going to change this year. they still lack a couple of skillful players to deliever the ball to the forwards
