"Unless we come across any additional, substantial information, we are looking at this as a closed case," said Sergeant Paul Wolcott, of the Hermosa Beach Police Department.
Fresh from charging Cousins with bringing the game into disrepute, the AFL also declares that Cousins still remains eligible to participate in football at lower levels.
Cousins, however, states that he will consider his options over the following months. "I will be keeping myself in good shape to ensure I give myself every opportunity of returning to the AFL in 2009."
