KANGAROOS fans could learn by tomorrow exactly why the AFL wants to relocate their club to the Gold Coast by 2010.

The relocation recommendation is to be tabled formally at a special meeting of the Kangaroos' board in Melbourne today after the league issued an ultimatum to the club last month about its dire financial position.

Kangaroos chief executive Rick Aylett yesterday said he hoped to release both the AFL's relocation proposal and a report on whether the club can remain financially viable in Melbourne to members as soon as possible.
