Has Franklin finally fallen?
I think lance franklin is a kick ass player but with all the pressure on him I think he is becoming too over-confident and is missing quite kickable goals.

What is your opinion on this?

Hey thanks everyone for all your comments i was just also wondering do you think alot of teams could do well if they were to give hot shots a rest

He's always missed kickable goals. The fact is that he's not a very good kick at goal for a forward, and everyone knows it. That having been said, I've never bothered looking at his goal-map to see where the majority of his shots are coming from.

Hey Tarrant, the blues stink. Remember when Buddy didn't play last year and we beat you by 100 points. You're a mathematical person so i'll spell it out for you

Hawks = Good
Buddy = Good

Hawks + Buddy = 2Good

Hawks - Buddy = 0

therefore Carlton are less than Nothing

Buddy's always been a shocking kick when he's put right in front of the goals, which is what's been happening a lot lately. That, and people are finally starting to put more pressure on him defence-wise. He's still going to be recognised as one of the best goal-kickers of this decade though. A few misses isn't something to worry about.

I don't think it's got to do with over-confidence, he just kicks better from the forward pocket.

yeah despite the fact that his push in the centre won the game for us....
Did you watch the game at all?

so he has a few quite games and everyone thinks he's cracked it.
Every season Buddy has a few games where he gets the yips and kick 1 goal 7 or around that. it's happened every season it's just that because he's on top of the coleman right now you all seem to notice it all of a sudden.
He was leading the behinds last season if that inidicates anything.
one of the big reasons his shots are struggling is opposition teams are becoming more, as the commentators put it "Buddy conscious". they are plugging space in the 50 forcing buddy and roughead to go to the pockets to get the ball and giving them tough angles, also if you think opposition teams don't know what foot buddy is preferred on you are dead wrong, i think it was richmond who came up with the idea of putting a man to buddy's left when he shoots on goal so when he does his little run around he has limited space. Buddy isn't the most accurate shot, no where near bradshaw's accurracy that's for sure. but when he brings his kicking boots, no one can touch him.
As for Billy... don't be bitter that Huddo gave adelaide the wraps saying they were an underated contender and the wheels have since fallen off and don't be bitter at buddy for making some game winning plays down at aami stadium, it hurts to see your team lose, have a cry, but never call buddy pathetic because on the field he never is!!!!

Christopher from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 2 Jul 2008 11:19hide comment
I think lots of his shots come from a long way out. He is a long kick and will kick at goal from 60 so all these long shots arn't conducive to accurate kicking at goal though does explain his countless shots at goal whether goals or behinds.
Jared (Magpies supporter), 30 Jun 2008 17:12hide comment
he will still kick 100 still young doing great i think he getting a lot of attention now too....he be fine u cant expect him too kicki 8 every week
Aaron from Perth (Blues supporter), 30 Jun 2008 16:04hide comment
Buddy has never been accurate. He kicks a lot of goals cos he get a lot of shots on goal. I think there is less pressure on him now than there was in say rounds 3-5.
Nabih (Hawks supporter), 30 Jun 2008 15:17hide comment
yeah, he has the left foot bend thing going on, its really hard to kik straight n ****, so yeah, he is missing, but hes still leading the coleman, so f off fevola
