Polak hit by tram
Graham Polak is badly injured after being hit by a tram in Melbourne while crossing the intersection of Orrong and Dandenong roads at Armadale late in the night.

Polak is placed into an induced coma at the Alfred Hospital after suffering bruising to the brain.

Doctors describe Polak as being in a critical, but stable condition. Polak is not expected to play football again this season.

"In terms of footy, it is unquestionable. He won't play this season - longer term beyond that, we'll just have to wait and see," Dr. Greg Hickey of the Alfred Hospital said.

Polak's condition continues to improve from critical to satisfactory as he responds well to tests and to family members who have travelled from Perth to be with him.

Mate get you head out of the sand this has nothing to do with footy, you’re just stirring the pot and if you want to have a look at a team why don't you look at your own.

On that note I hope Graham recovers soon and gets back to playing footy, not something that your would wish upon anyone.

I've said it once, i've said it a million times, Richmond have to many suicidale players who go for the player/tram instead of the ball

This is devastating news, poor buggar. Feel for his family and girlfriend. What a way for the club to end their centenary celebrations as well, it seems a tad unfair really.
