AFL chief Andrew Demetriou has indicated that broadcast partners, channel 7 and 10, will be pushing for a night Grand Final before their broadcast contract expires.

"I think they would be looking at a five o'clock start to finish at 7.30. I know that between now and the end of the broadcast agreement, we will be asked about it again. If and when that occurs, we will consider it then." Demetriou said.

Network Ten confirmed it's interest in a twilight Grand Final via its general manager of sport, David White.

"My interest is well documented. I'm very keen on a twilight Grand Final. I have spoken to Andrew about it in the past and I will be speaking to him about it in the future. I've got little doubt at some point in the future there will be a twilight Grand Final. Not sure how far into the future," White said.
