"I firmly believe North Melbourne should remain in Melbourne, based out of Arden St, and I will do whatever Braysh and Arch need me to do to help get North back on track," Ponting said.

"I have always said we need to be as good off the field as we are on it and I just can't believe any North supporter wouldn't want the club to stay in Melbourne if it is at all possible."
