Yeah, but I wonder whether it will ever become a significant sport in any other country.
I mean, we all love AFL and think its the best sport in the world, right? But without the crowds and culture, it would have to be difficult for the game to gain a foothold in another market.
Just playing or watching AFL anywhere in the world with just a handful of fans watching is not going to create the excitement or interest for the game... Even in culturally similar markets like NZ the game just can't seem to catch on.
It would be great though, to one day have other countries (even just 1 country!) that are passionate and skilled enough to compete internationally!!
