MARTIN Matter is looking forward to playing at the SCG – a venue he says holds good memories - as the former Crow looks to reignite his career with the Swans.

“The SCG seems to suit me. I've played some good games here before and hopefully that escalates over the season,” Mattner said after his first full pre-season session in Sydney.

The lithe 25-year-old South Australian hopes to bring some impetus to Sydney's midfield.

"Hopefully with players like Tadhg [Kennelly] I can fit into that midfield, half-back rotation," he added.
