FORMER West Coast captain Chris Judd says he would prefer not to be dragged into the dual inquiries probing the troubled AFL club he left behind.

As the AFL readies itself for Monday's hearing into whether ex-Eagle Ben Cousins has brought the game into disrepute over his recent drug controversies, Judd said he would be reluctant to give evidence to two separate inquiries investigating the Eagles' culture.

Judd said he would speak to AFL and West Coast investigators if required, but wanted to move on with his career at Carlton and believes the Eagles also want to move forward after a difficult 12 months.

"I'd prefer not to (give evidence). It's been a tough time for the Eagles the past 12 months," he said.
