Welsh quits the Crows after failing to come to terms with the club on a new contract. Welsh remained firm on wanting a two-year deal while only being offered a one-year contract by Adelaide.

Crows football operations manager John Reid cites undisclosed behavioural issues as the main reason for the disagreement between the two parties on the length of the contract.

Having left the Crows, Welsh is offered a two-year deal by the Bulldogs who hope to pick up the forward in the pre-season draft.
