Peter Everitt undergoes an arthroscope on his right knee to remove a small piece of cartilage located behind the kneecap that had been causing him discomfort.

Everitt is expected to be available for the first round of the 2008 AFL season.

"Given the early timing of the operation we don't anticipate any issues with Spida being back training and ready for the commencement of the 2008 season," Swans general manager of football Andrew Ireland said.
