I've never seen a player disappear so often when the game is on the line like Luke Hodge.
Loved how he **** his pants against Geelong and gifted us the sealer. Thanks choker.

U must be talking about Geelong there simon, eh? WHere were the rest of the Cats on Saturday when the game was on the line? G Ablett can only do so much. Geelong = chokers!! Hodgey put it on the line on Saturday and deserved his Norm Smith medal. He killed your forward line single handedly no questions asked, with a lil bit of help from Campbell Brown. TOUGH, UNCOMPRIMISING MEN who stood up when it mattered MOST!! WHich makes me wonder about Max Rooke....

Well said Jenny!! Well said. Obviously they're sulking as they didn't get back to back premierships! Get over it Simon!!!! It's done! Hawks were a better side on the day! We played hard and were hungry for that cup!!!
Jay (Hawks supporter), 6 Sep 2008 9:39 hide comment
Fancy a Geelong supporter labelling someone else a choker, for years we have watched Geelong choke on that last Saturday of September with exception of last year when the opposition did not turn up to play. Yes Hodge made a few uncharacteristic errors that day, but he has not played a crap game since. Just bring it you Geelong poofters and hopefully we will see the real Geelong chokers when the Hawks actually mount a challenge unlike Port last year.
Matt from Bairnsdale (Hawks supporter), 4 Sep 2008 0:06 hide comment
Simon, the only reason geelong won that game is because the hawks handed it to them, and that won't happen again. Geelong were outplayed for 3 quarters of the game and all their goals in the 2nd half came from our unforced errors so I wouldn't be getting too cocky there mate! Just watch Hodge in the elimination final against the crows last year to get a real gauge on how he plays. Precision kicking, fierce tackling and regular hard ball gets with a bung MCL, thats tough for you. You must be a sad lonely man to be going through another teams fan page trying to start crap! All you cocky Geelong fans give me the s***s,just remember how long a wait it was for your first premiership in 44 years and show a little humility. Tosser!

Hahaha you gifted us that win huh? Funny how you losers talked up all season long about how you were going to knock us off.... then we go in without Ablett, Ling, Chapman, Milburn, and Wojcinski so you had the golden opportunity to back up all that talk with a win. But choked.

I couldn't care less how long the wait was....it made our flag oh so much sweeter
The fact our flag angers so many Hawthorn fans makes it unforgettable.

Geelong winning the flag doesn't anger us hawk supporters. In fact it warmed the hearts of all football supporters in general. I'm just sick of how cocky and arrogant you have become (and i will admit there are some very one-eyed hawk supporters out there as well). I just think you are an idiot, if you can best spend your time trying to irritate other football supporters by writing crap on opposition teams fan pages then you really need to get a life! Geelong have an awesome team, we all know that. we like them. we just don't like wankers like yourself!
Simon from Melbourne (Cats supporter), 6 Sep 2008 10:27 hide comment
Another pissweak performance from Hodge last night. Played as a loose man across half back....the easiest position on the ground and only managed 16 pathetic touches.
Clarkson knew he was too soft to go one on one with anyone so he threw him back there and he still did nothing.
Hodge = Softest player in the AFL.

i hope you watched the game last night simon. you try taking a knee to the ribs, spitting up blood and playing out the rest of a prelim final.

Simon from Melbourne (Cats supporter), 24 Sep 2008 0:25 hide comment
Hodge spitting up blood was his heart trying to exit his body. He's such a heartless, gutless player. That's why he takes the easy way out as a loose man down back. Because he can't beat an opponent 1 on 1.
Exactly the reason he only got 2 Brownlow votes.....Tom Hawkins played about 2 games and got as many votes as Hodge.

Hawkins>>>>>>>>Hodge.

Bet Geelong wish they had a Luke Hodge on their side on Saturday, but guess what?!?! THEY DIDN"T!!! No one came close to his toughness on Grand Final Day. A floating Hodge up back was enough to pressure the Cats into kicking point, after point, after point, after point............
Bugger getting only 2 Brownlow votes, the umps dont usually give votes for courage and toughness, only flair and dash (with all due respect to Cooney).
If there is one player in the AFL who has the biggest heart, its Hodgey! Onya Hodgey for winning the Norm Smith medal - a REAL MAN with true grit and determination to get the footy. U R A LEGEND!!
Brendan from Wickliffe (Saints supporter), 28 Sep 2008 15:55 hide comment
simon ur the biggest dick head ever hodgey is as tough as nails and thats y he won the norm smith medal and tom hawkins cant even get a game in geelongs senior side and he will probly get traded
Kelly (Hawks supporter), 28 Sep 2008 15:32 hide comment
Simon if you need a noose to neck yourself hodgey would only be too happy to lend you his norm smith medal so you can get the job done. Then another cat would choke!!!! ha ha ha everyone is laughing at you simple simon. Luke Hodge, one of the toughest players ever, if not the toughest! Go you mighty HAWKS
Stacey from Melbourne (Hawks supporter), 28 Sep 2008 19:20 hide comment
Hodge is a bloody gun! I could watch him play footy all day! He deserves the norm smith medal! He worked his ass off in that grand final and so did every other hawk player out there! Obvioulsy you're in your own little world Simon. Softes player....Please! Nothing better to do than sulk and get stuck in to Hodgey! GO HODGEY YOU GOOD THING YOU!!

i think you have accidently placed hodges name in the place of Josh Hunt. Now there is a soft cock, would have to be the worst player in the AFL. Only reason he gets a game is coz the rest of the geelong backs cover him. The soft prick will get shown up by the mighty brown and gold this week though. Would love to see him try and keep up with cyril, ozzy or willo! Hunt would not have got up if you took a hit like hodgey did. I just hope buddy or roughy drives him head first into the turf this week! You are a cokhead Simon, go smoke your balls!
Flushdog (Bulldogs supporter), 8 Sep 2008 23:18 hide comment
Simon you tool he's one of the toughest players in the afl, and one of the most skillfull. I'm a cats supporter and I can see and applaud this. Your giving us a bad name mate, shut your mouth until it's all over. Are you dumb or something? He towled up the dogs on friday night. You actually make me sick knowing you support the mighty catters.
Brian (Hawks supporter), 6 Sep 2008 11:45 hide comment
Simon you are an idiot mate.
Ever since Hodge has been playing loose man in defence we has been tearing up the opposition forwards.
He only had 16 touches on last nights game but all wer very effective.
Did you listen to the commentry or what.
All you cat supporters think your top **** just becasue you havent been defeated in a longtime. Just wait to the end of septemer thats all going to chage.
CATS ARE GOING DOWN COMING FINALS IN SEPTEMBER

Go Cats . Hodgey can still kick a few goals and rack up possessions in the GF if we play though... haha.
b2b premiership . *fingers crossed*
Marcus from Geelong (Cats supporter), 6 Sep 2008 22:19 hide comment
You are being ridiculous Simon, Hodge was a bloody rock in defense.
He organized the whole defense took 6 marks off opponent kicks.
Possession numbers doesn't equate directly to how well someone plays... Did you even watch the game. Do you even know what AFL is? He is a courageous and strong player who also makes great 'non-possession plays'.
If you had a brain you'd know how quality Hodge is. Any argument otherwise is generated by complete tards'.

Go Hawks.

Hodgey prooved that he is a hard nut of a player from the old times, playing footy in the modern times. His ribs are fine, and any knock that he may get will just spur the hawks on to get hungrier this saturday. GO HAWKS!!
Rj from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 23 Sep 2008 3:36 hide comment
Luke Hodge,

A true inspiration to any person to put on a footy jumper, the sheer guts and determination he showed last weekend after breaking his ribs was amazing. One of the greats to play the game we all love.

Have just seen Luke's new little boy, Cooper. He is soooo cute. Lauren & Luke will make the best parents. Hopefully, another little Hawker for the future to play with Charlie Crawford!!!!
