He's really building up some solid form. With Heater out, he's provided important run & attack off the half backline. He just keeps on improving.

Marty will be getting more game time now with Didak and Shaw gone for the season.

Hope he gets some time in the midfield, also Daisy should also and just see what happens, would be a good learning experience for them both!

Marty Clarke I may be the only person here excited about him here but as a Collingwood fan he in my view is the best Irish creation so far. He really came from no where last season working tirelessly to make it to the seniors and now he has made it he is here to stay. He has made an incredible transition from Gallic footy and if you youtube him you will find some of his skills. With space from about 50 from goal he will goal 9 times outa 10. Also in the off season when all the others were resting up Marty went over to Ireland to win a Premiership over there and in the grand final get the best on ground for the final. He has managed to do all this in the off season not rest up at all and come back into AFL footy completely fit and not fatigued in the slightest. This kid is 1 in a million and with more time in the game will be a star.

Another solid game by Marty again yesterday.

Best international pickup ever! Will be one of the AFL's best in 3-4 years no doubt. Has an incredible engine and smart footy brain. In a VFL game last year he chip kicked the ball up to himself on a wet day using Gallic Footy ideas and doing this on the run. Also a good footy jugler (check youtube). Also 29 disposals and 1 goal against Geelong best on ground effort, definately deserves a regular spot in the senior side!
Melissa from Geelong (Magpies supporter), 24 May 2008 21:45hide comment
Brilliant game from Marty vs Geelong, he ran hard, when he looked to go long he went straight down the guts... I really think being dropped a few weeks ago has done him the world of good. BOG for my mind.
Tom from Perth (Magpies supporter), 24 May 2008 13:41hide comment

Martin from Melbourne (Magpies supporter), 24 May 2008 10:21hide comment
