Sod off Steve... The reason he got captain is because he's done ten years at the club and deserved it! At least we didn't buy our captain in.

You would have given Judd captaincy. There is no denying it. You got no one. The only reason you picked Burns is because he has hung around your club the longest... is he actually gonna make it on the field this year?

He'd be in black and white if the captaincy was on the table!!! I'm surprised Nick Stevens didn't leave on the grounds he got so shafted!

You obviously haven't seen the influence Judd has. He is the natural leader and therefore the most obvious choice. Stevens never got shafted... he should concerntrate on playing consistent footy, doesn't need the extra responsibility. Judd and Stevens both chose Carlton over Collingwood, thats saying something!

Why on earth would you put in an old hack as captain in his last year of footy? Burns wouldn't get a game at most other clubs.

And you have obviously never seen what Burns does around our club. Last year or not - His ability to act as a mentor to the younger players is more important than how many years he will be in the role.
