Moore failed to find a new home during the player exchange period and has been moved on after 55 games in six seasons at Alberton.

"I’ve loved my time at Port Adelaide," Moore said.

"I appreciate the club giving me an opportunity to play AFL footy.

"I’ve made some great friends for life at the club and I wish the boys every success into the future."

Port Adelaide say they would be willing to part ways with Andrew Moore if the midfielder can find more senior opportunities at another club.

"With 'Moorey', who is uncontracted, we'd like to go through this next period of time and see what is available to him," Port Adelaide general manager of football Chris Davies said.

"I heard (Moore's manager) Paul Connors on Monday suggest that there might be some suitors for him, and if that was the case for Andrew (and) he wanted greater opportunities, then I understand that."

Andrew Moore's appeal against his three-week suspension for touching an umpire has been thrown out by the SANFL Tribunal.

AFL legend Leigh Matthews believed the SANFL Tribunal was right to judge Moore harshly.

"It has to be a seemingly very severe penalty – you can't touch an umpire, that's the point," Matthews said.

"It has to be a penalty we all think is much harsher than is deserved, as an example to everyone else that plays footy anywhere."

Port Adelaide has appealed the three-week suspension handed down to midfielder Andrew Moore after he was found guilty of intentionally making contact with an umpire in the SANFL.

The Power were dissatisfied with the severity of the sentence and are expecting their appeal to be heard on Thursday afternoon.

Andrew Moore has been suspended for three matches after intentionally making contact with an umpire in the SANFL.

Moore claimed he was trying to demonstrate to the umpire a previous on-field incident with opponent Heath Caldwell.

However, Tribunal commissioner Ian White rejected that evidence and said the young umpire had been forced to take "a step and a half" backwards.

Friday, 30 August 2013
Andrew Moore says a good pre-season and being injury-free is the reason for his solid form in 2013.

"Having the confidence in my body to go out there and know that I'm not going to pick up consistent injuries has really helped me play consistent football," Moore said.

"I feel fantastic, this is the most games I've played since I've been here and pre-season is a massive key to that."

Monday, 25 March 2013
Port Adelaide sign four key players in Alipate Carlile, Jackson Trengove, John Butcher and Andrew Moore.

"With all four of these talented young players committing to the club together, it's just a great show of faith in what we're trying to do and where we're heading," coach Ken Hinkley said.

"Each one of them in their own way brings something special to the group. Jacko (Trengove) is a strong voice and a really solid person, Bobby (Carlile) loves to help people as is evidenced by the multicultural work he does outside the club and Moorey (Moore) and Butch (Butcher) are just great people to have around the footy club."

Friday, 27 July 2012
Port's Andrew Moore is starting to show the football world why he was the Power's top draft pick in the 2009 national draft.

"My first couple of years have been a bit up and down and to play a full season, so far, it's a big sigh of relief," Moore said.

"I'm feeling really good, recovering after games, my body's pulling up really well and I haven't felt like this for many years.

"I'm still on top of all my rehab, I do that a couple of times a week and if I don't stay on top of it I'll go back to where I was a couple of years ago."

Wednesday, 31 August 2011
Port Adelaide has added to its list of re-signings, with Justin Westhoff and promising utility Andrew Moore both committing to the club.

"I spoke to my parents to see what they had to say and they backed me in. I've loved the club from day dot and am looking forward to the future," Moore said.

"To have that taste [a grand final] in my first year … it drives you to get the club back to where it should be and that's at the top of the table," Westhoff said.

Sunday, 28 March 2010
Andrew Moore makes his AFL debut for Port Adelaide at Football Park with 14 disposals (10 kicks and 4 handballs), 4 marks and a tackle in a 14-point win over North Melbourne.
